“From the moment we drove through the gate one got a sense of calm and a feeling of being welcomed. The Ocean Beach abode delivered on all levels: it was very clean, tidy and thoughtfully decorated. The design of the house provided comfortable space to hang about or quiet nooks for anyone wanting some down time. Also the yard catered well for our Ridgeback (well secured and good space) but he was much relieved when ushered into the house to be with his pack. Thank you for everything”
“Great house in the middle of town, close to restaurants, cafes, supermarket and the river. Beautifully styled in a vintage decor, with clean new bathroom and toilet. Provided good amount of board games and a fireplace to spend the evening relaxing in the ambience. Host provided a refund when number of persons changed and did so with a prompt and friendly response. Highly recommend as I would definitely go back again”

“Great house for a family or even two families. Very spacious inside with an awesome open lounge and kitchen. The house had everything we needed and we were really impressed with the amount of kitchen supplies eg cutlery, plates, cups, cooking utensils. Each room had its own heater too which was great for the colder nights. Outside property is great, the backyard backs onto the river and the kids loved running around on the grass. Really close to town too! Loved it, thanks so much!”
An absolute fabulous house! Perfect location, so close to the Dam restaurant and Green Pool for swimming ,walking and fishing.
We loved snuggling up after exploring and watching the open fire , birds and garden outside. It’s so private and quiet.
The kitchen was well equipped and a pleasure to cook in. The cleaners need to be congratulated too. Our 4 day stay over Christmas was the best. We really appreciated the excellent communication with the hosts. Highly recommended.

“The House on the Lake is truly unique! The serenity and tranquillity of this place make it perfect for recharging your body, mind and soul! The house is on a large block of land with ample privacy. The verandah overlooking the lake is just beautiful, even when it rains. The quietness and tranquillity is not something you often find in a house so close to a town. it takes a 5min drive or 25min walk to Denmark town where you have all the thing you need (IGA for groceries, a bakery, a butcher, a bottle shop, a news agent, cafes and restaurants and a massage place). The house inside is wonderful and makes the most of the spectacular view over the private lake. The kitchen has all the essentials to prepare meals. the open fire is perfect for cold winter nights. Everything was well maintained and spotlessly clean.”

Thoroughly enjoyed staying in this cozy little cottage in Denmark. The bed was so comfortable and very difficult to get out of. Perfect location walking distance to town and close driving distance to all the local attractions. Would definitely recommend or stay again.

“We stayed at this beautiful home for a family holiday, it was above expectations. Serene, wonderful setting and a magnificent home combined for one of our best breaks away. The kitchen is so full of all you need and more, furnishings beautiful. The central heating keeps you toasty warm as you watch the weather come across the inlet . The view is as promised and walks surround the property are magic. Short drive to all that Denmark offers make this a great base . We loved this home and can’t wait to return. The team at Southern Escapes were kind and efficient and we highly recommend them for your next holiday home adventure”
