Kulbardi Mia Mia (pronounced cull bardee myah myah) means "Magpies' Home" in the Noongar language of the local Aboriginal people. This home is quintessentially Denmark, and one of the few homes on Weedon Hill with access and bathroom to cater for elderly guests or those requiring a wheelchair or walker.
A favourite with families and groups for many years, this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin is surrounded by Karri trees with glimpses through the canopy to Wilson Inlet. The generous veranda with large day bed will entice you to relax and watch the entertaining birdlife. In the cooler months a fantastic wood burner will keep you toasty warm.
There is ramp access and a bathroom to cater for elderly guests or those who require a wheelchair or walker.
The home is fully self- contained, with linen supplied (except beach towels). The games, books, DVDs and jigsaws will keep everyone entertained!

HOUSE RULES:
- No smoking
- Outdoor fires are strictly prohibited by Denmark Shire, fines apply.
- No parties, events or Schoolies/Leaver's bookings
- Minimum stay: 3 nights (standard) and 5-7 nights (peak periods).
IMPORTANT DOG INFORMATION: Up to 2 dogs are allowed. However, please note this property is not fenced. You will need to supervise your dog outside on the lead for toileting and exercise (please pick up after your dog).
When you go out, you can leave your dog for a short while under cover on the house verandah but not recommended for dogs that can jump high over railings or tiny dogs that can squeeze under the railing gap.
As per the Pet Policy, dogs are not allowed to be left inside the house unattended. There are lots of dog friendly cafes, wineries and beaches you can take your dog to in Denmark.
PET POLICY:
Pet Fee of $80 per stay.
Maximum 2 dogs (not cats or puppies).
• Fully house-trained dogs only inside the property.
• No dogs on beds or furniture at any time.
• Noise must be kept to a minimum—excessive barking/howling is not permitted.
• Pets must not be left unsupervised inside at any time.
• Guests must bring their own pet bedding & food bowls.
• All pet waste must be cleaned up and disposed of in a sanitary manner. Extra fees apply if waste left.
• Guests are responsible for any pet-related damage, inside or outside the property
FIREWOOD NOTICE:
Due to a State-wide firewood shortage, firewood is not supplied during the warmer months November to April. The property is equipped with a reverse-cycle air conditioner ensuring you stay comfortable year-round.
During the colder months (May–October), we do our best to provide enough firewood for two nights. You’re also welcome to bring your own dirt and bark free firewood or purchase firewood locally from hardware stores or petrol stations in Denmark. This approach helps protect local forests and complies with Western Australia’s biosecurity rules.

Payment Policies
A partial payment in the amount of AU$500.00 is due upon booking. Remaining payment is due no later than 30 days prior to arrival. If the booking is made after [or within 7 days of when] the second payment would be due, then this payment will be combined and due together with the first payment. A separate refundable damage deposit is required in the amount of AU$350.00. The damage deposit is payable 30 days prior to arrival. It will be automatically refunded on 7 days after check-out, provided no charges apply.
If the cancellation occurs 30 days or more from the scheduled arrival date, a full refund of the amount will be paid.
If the cancellation occurs less than 30 days from the scheduled arrival date, the amount paid is non-refundable and will be forfeited unless the property can be relet for the entire period.
Comprehensive Travel insurance with a reputable insurance company to cater for any unforeseen circumstances beyond the Guest’s reasonable control for e.g. accident, ill health etc, is recommended by the Booking Agent. Guests will be responsible for full payment of rental costs whether Guests occupy the Property or not.
